Wasn't sure what to expect from these but won't be ordering again as the mud was off putting & the worms tiny ................................................................................. Reply by sales team We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed, they mud as you call it is coco fibre substrate, they have to have something damp to live in or they would dehydrate and die. The worms we supply are fully grown, calci worms don't ever get bigger than that.

I ended up throwing the whole tub away. They escaped somehow into the shipping box then into my living room. They were so small, they can escape through the smallest cracks in the cage as well as being too small for my medium sized chams.

Worms are great and pets love them. Just be VERY aware of customer service with this company. I had a problem where I was only receiving 50 worms in my tub. They said the package changed and as they can't fit 100 in I would receive 2 tubs of 50, but what they actually did was just charge me twice for the same order but not get any more worms. When emailed them the story changed to there now being 100 in each tub(don't know how they fit now and they didn't before, very strange). SERIOUSLY WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR TINY GREEN TUB OF "100" COUNT THEM YOURSELF. There is always on average 50. However did completely ignore the fact they changed my order and I was double charged. No apology, no offer to fix it just said they would cancel it if I wasn't happy. Basically called me a liar as "Steve" went and checked the stock and counted 3 whole tubs all with much more than 100 in and managed to email me back within 10 minutes :D :D :D. Not going to lie it made me laugh. I do like the worms but this isn't the only place who sell them so needless to say I'll be going elsewhere, just beware reptile lovers you want what you pay for! Reply:------------ We used to buy in Calciworms in tubs of 100 already mixed with substrate but the tubs they came in were not adequate to send through the post so we were transferring the contents into 2 small round green tubs because with the amount of substrate they were in they would not fit into 1 small tub and it would have been too time consuming to remove the worms from the substrate. We then started to produce these ourselves so could easily fit 100 worms and a smaller amount of substrate into 1 small green tub. The confusion has occurred because you phoned to place an order and asked for 2 tubs of Calci worms thinking that was 100 worms when it fact it is now 200 worms.
