The culture hasn't boomed yet unfortunately, but i saw maggots n whatnot in the tub, so expecting loads of yummy goodness for my mantids :)
Package arrived damaged with live maggots crawling around in the outer box. Internal box didn't seem to contain maggots, which kept escaping. After transferring the culture to a homemade container they're now secure, and producing many flies.
The culture was dry and small, but did eventually revive with some food.
Poor! i have bought quite a few from this store before now and all have been under par, Flight-less fruit fly should be sold what is the point in supplying flying species with shuch poor packaging for live food removal?
Last tub i ordered were old stock & looked like it had been kicked around in the post, the replacement that they sent was just as bad....didnt bother after that.
Alot of escaping larvae and mites in the cultures ------------------------------------------------------ Reply By Sales Team: Unfortunately due to the nature of these the larvae are very good at escaping which is why we advise to transfer to more suitable containers upon arrival. All Fruit Fly cultures are prone to attract mites which are present everywhere and thrive in the conditions provided by the cultures however as the cultures become more active the actions of the larvae will destroy the mites. Because these are cultures they do take a little work and experience by the customer to successfully produce large numbers of flies
