Package arrived damaged with live maggots crawling around in the outer box. Internal box didn't seem to contain maggots, which kept escaping. After transferring the culture to a homemade container they're now secure, and producing many flies.
Not many fruit flies ready to go and few developing either
The culture was dry and small, but did eventually revive with some food.
Poor! i have bought quite a few from this store before now and all have been under par, Flight-less fruit fly should be sold what is the point in supplying flying species with shuch poor packaging for live food removal?
order number 359617 just received a delivery of four fruit fly cultures ,i have ordered these many times over the years and the quality has always been very good ,this time however it has not been up to the usual high standard .What i received was four tubs of what looked like large lumps of culture dumped in the middle of the pots no wood shavings at all and one of the pots was half filled with cotton wool with the lump of culture underneath it .This was not due to the rough treatment it gets coming through the post with the culture getting mixed up with the wood shavings there are just no wood shavings at all .I do not know if you have changed suppliers because this is not up to your usual good standard
No flies but plenty of lavae. 50% of contents were squashed and had leaked. Sales team will tell you that this is an acceptable way to be delivered to you, even if royal mail have to repackage before delivering
